My son was the kind of person who would stop whatever he was doing if someone needed help. His heart was gentle, his spirit generous, and even in his hardest moments, he cared deeply for others. In May 2024, I lost him to suicide — a pain no parent should ever know — but his final act was one of pure love. He became an organ donor, and through that choice, he continues to save and transform lives.
To those who carry a part of him today: thank you. I hope you feel his kindness in every breath, every heartbeat, every new beginning. You are living proof that even in loss, there can be life, hope, and healing.
If you are reading this and wondering whether becoming a donor matters, please know that it does. My son’s legacy lives on because he chose to give. Your choice could do the same for someone else’s family.
His story is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, one act of compassion can light the way for many.
